Information We Collect from Minors

We collect the same categories of information described in the Privacy Policy from minor users, including:

• Account information (name, email, username, birthday for age verification)
• Guardian relationship information (guardian name, contact, relationship)
• School-related information (school name, student ID, attendance records)
• Safety and location information (with guardian consent where required)
• Identity verification information (with guardian oversight)
• Emergency coordination records (shared only as permitted by law or consent)

Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

Parents and legal guardians who create or manage accounts for minors are responsible for:

• Supervising the minor's use of Go Safe 360 and ensuring age-appropriate use of features.
• Providing accurate information during account setup, guardian approval, and identity verification.
• Reviewing the minor's account activity within the limits of app features and privacy settings.
• Making informed decisions about enabling location sharing, SOS, and other safety features for the minor.
• Understanding that certain information may be shared with schools, authorized agencies, or emergency responders when safety workflows or legal requirements apply.

Parental and Guardian Consent

• When a minor creates an account, guardian approval is required as part of the signup process.
• Guardians receive a notification requesting approval of the minor's account.
• Guardians can review the minor's account activity within the limits of the app's features and the minor's privacy settings.
• Guardian monitoring consent is captured and recorded for transparency.
• Schools acting in loco parentis may provide authorization in accordance with applicable school policies.

Guardian Rights

Parents and legal guardians have the right to:

• Review their child's account information and activity within the limits of app features and privacy settings.
• Request deletion or restriction of their child's data, subject to safety, legal, and school obligations.
• Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable.
• Contact us with questions about their child's privacy.

Data Sharing and Visibility

• Minor account data is not public by default.
• Location sharing, profile visibility, and communication features require appropriate approvals.
• Guardian and school personnel may access certain information only through authorized workflows.
• Government agency access to minor data is limited to emergency coordination, disaster response, and legal obligations, subject to applicable law and consent where required.
• We do not sell personal information of any user, including minors.

School and Government Agency Participation

When a minor's account is linked to a school or when authorized government agencies participate in emergency coordination, certain information may be accessed as needed for safety, coordination, disaster response, and educational purposes, subject to our School Participation Terms, Government Agency Participation Policy, and applicable law.

Data Retention for Minors

Information from minor accounts is retained according to the Data Retention Policy. We take extra care to ensure that minor data is not retained longer than necessary and is subject to appropriate safeguards.

Security

We apply the same security measures to minor data as to all user data. Guardian-approved accounts, school-linked accounts, and agency-linked accounts benefit from additional oversight layers.
